This is a program in which U.S. families host Japanese high school students from Meiji Gakuin High School, a private Christian School in Japan. Since 1995 Peace Church has been the staging point (three days) for students arriving for a five week summer home stay or for others arranging a one year home stay. These home stays occur anywhere in the U.S. No funding is needed for this project, only hosts, particularly for the three day staging event, and for the five week summer stays and one year home stays. Every other year the handbell choir from Meiji Gakuin travels to America to thank the churches that have supported the home stay program and to promote the program.
