Interests: Spending time with my wife and daughter, watching movies, spending time on the lake, writing devotionals, riding bike, traveling and listening to the rain.

Passions: Encouraging students to know and serve Jesus Christ, casting vision, creating creative ways of doing ministry, developing leaders, ministering to students who are getting in trouble, leading Bible studies, & cheering people up through laughter.

Hello, I am Chet Carlson and I look forward to getting to know you. I am a Youth Director, husband, father, and seminary student, among other things. Below are highlights about myself and my background.

Family: I live with my amazing wife Heather and daughter Hallie in Apple Valley. Heather and I were married in December 2005. She is an elementary teacher and an amazing mother and wife. Our daughter Hallie was born in February of 2007, and we are expecting and eagerly awaiting our next child due in April 2010. I grew up as a pastor’s kid and have five siblings.

Education: B.S in Pastoral Ministry from Crown College, St. Bonifacius, MN. I am currently working on the Master of Divinity degree from Bethel Seminary. In addition to my education I am currently working towards ordination within the Reformed Church of America.

Ministry Background: I have worked in youth ministry for over 6 years: Hope Church internship (May 2002-August 2004), Youth Director at New Prague Alliance Church (Nov. 2004—March 2006), and Director of One Purpose Student Ministries at Peace Church (June 2006-Present).
