Interests: Playing racquetball; reading; being a fan of my two favorite baseball teams, the Twins and Cubs; treadmilling at Lifetime Fitness; long walks.

Passions: Serving the local church and seeing the transforming power of God at work in the life of His church and His people. Another passion is helping to raise up servant leaders for the work of God’s kingdom.

I was born on November 3, 1947 in Morrison, Illinois. I graduated from Morrison high school, class of 65. I attended college at Illinois State University where I received my bachelor’s degree. I also received a Master’s degree from the University of Illinois, Springfield. In 1976 I answered God’s call to full-time ministry. I attended Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Michigan where I received my Master’s of Divinity degree. Following my ordination in June, 1980 I have served as pastor of 4 churches: North Holland in Holland, Michigan; First Reformed in Edgerton, MN; Bethany in Sheboygan, WI; and since 2001 Peace Church in Eagan. My primary areas of responsibility are leading and preaching at the 9 A.M Daybreak service; administration; and pastoral care. I am married to Nancy who is from Holland, Michigan. We were married on July 30, 1983 on the lawn of North Holland Church. Since 2002 Nancy has served as the Director of Children’s Ministries at Peace. We have 2 children. Our son is a registered nurse in Milwaukee; our daughter is a college junior majoring in nursing. We also have a little Yorkshire Terrier named Rosie.
