Passions: seeing things change when people engage with God, justice, human trafficking, cross cultural/generational relations, answered prayer, using creativity to honor God, redemption.

Hello! Thanks for stopping by. My name is Adriel and I’m the music director here at Peace. I work with the different musicians (bands, choir, instrumentalists, etc.) selecting music and leading rehearsals, as well as coordinating art, dance and drama, so that people can connect with God in a more personal way through the arts. I like say that my job is to love God, play music and hang out with people, which is pretty awesome.

I’ve been at Peace since September of ’07. Before that I attended UW-Eau Claire where I double majored in music and religious studies. I grew up in Hastings with my parents and two younger sisters, as well as various incarnations of Miniature Schnauzers and fish. I always told God he could send me anywhere he wanted, except Arkansas or Alabama, so I was a little surprised when he called me back to the Twin Cities after college.

But I’m so glad he did. I’ve loved being here and being part of what he’s doing in this community. I feel really strongly that anyone can be involved in the arts in some way, even if you don’t always feel like you’re a musician or an artist, because there’s just something about it that help us engage with God. We’d love to have you join us as we seek to love God and his people through the arts. Also, I really enjoy connecting with people by playing music together or making a meal for them. So if you want to jam or if you ever get hungry, we should hang out sometime.
